Motivation behind the inception of Right2Info.com

The present RTI Act is one of the most progressive Acts. It is a landmark legislation, which has given a new dimension to the relationship between the state and its citizens. Through this Act the citizens have been empowered to curtail the direct fallout of opaque administration, corruption, inefficiency and arbitrary use of power. The Act was enacted in the year 2005, even after three years it is facing practical problems. Applicants are not getting the desired results. The Central Information Commission & State Information Commissions are overloaded with appeals & complaints. Some of the problems faced by the applicants are as follows:

  1. Applications not correctly made resulting in vague replies from the authorities;
  2. Non-cooperation from the bureaucracy;
  3. Applicants not knowing the process of filing of an RTI Application;
  4. Multiple Public Information Officers (PIOs) in various Government Departments and Ministries.
Competent people only can deal with these problems. We have a group of trained professionals who are armed with the required skills to help you achieve the desired results.
